Ingredients:
- 1 lb Large Shrimp (16-20 count), peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp Avocado oil or Olive oil
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 0.5 tsp Onion powder
- 0.5 tsp Sea salt
- 0.25 tsp Cracked black pepper
- 0.5 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 0.5 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 Large egg, beaten
Instructions:
- Pat the shrimp extremely dry with paper towels to ensure a proper sear and prevent steaming.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the shrimp with oil and the dry spice blend (garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Old Bay) until evenly coated.
- Optional: For the crispy version, dip seasoned shrimp into the beaten egg and then dredge in a mixture of Panko and Parmesan cheese.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
- Cook for 6–8 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the shrimp at the 4-minute mark.
- Remove shrimp once they turn opaque and form a 'C' shape. Do not overcook.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
