Ingredients:
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained (794g)
- 1 cup ketchup (240 ml)
- ½ cup packed brown sugar (100g)
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar (60 ml)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (30 ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 (2-pound) bag frozen cooked meatballs (Italian or plain) (907g)
- 1 (14-ounce) package little smokies sausages (cocktail sausages) (397g)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, whisk together the crushed pineapple (with its juice), ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
- Pour half of the pineapple sauce into the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Layer the frozen meatballs and little smokies sausages evenly over the sauce.
- Pour the remaining pineapple sauce over the meatballs and smokies, ensuring everything is coated.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours, or on low for 6-8 hours, or until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce has thickened. Stir occasionally during cooking.
- Serve hot, straight from the slow cooker, with toothpicks for easy grabbing.
