Ingredients:
- 1 bagel (of your choice, plain, everything, sesame, etc.)
- 2-4 tablespoons cream cheese, softened (full-fat or reduced-fat, your preference)
Instructions:
- Using a bread knife, carefully slice the bagel horizontally in half.
- Place the bagel halves in the toaster or toaster oven and toast to your desired level of doneness. Watch carefully to avoid burning! A golden-brown colour is generally a good aim.
- While the bagel is still warm (but not too hot!), spread the softened cream cheese evenly over both halves.
- Place the cream-cheese-covered halves back together and serve immediately. Right then, tuck in!
