Ingredients:
- 2 ¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5g) baking soda
- ½ tsp (2g) salt
- ¾ cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (100g) packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
- Mix in the vanilla extract and egg until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
