Ingredients:
- 1 package (8 oz or 225 g) of store-bought crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup (90 g) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 large egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) milk (for egg wash)
- All-purpose flour (for dusting, if necessary)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it lightly.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface, and press together the perforated seams to form a rectangle.
- Cut the dough into triangles (about 4-5 inches wide) using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter.
- Add chocolate chips at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the croissants tightly from the wide end towards the tip, forming a crescent shape.
- Whisk together the egg and milk to make the egg wash.
- Brush the tops of the rolled croissants with the egg wash using a pastry brush.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
