Ingredients:
- 1 cup (150g) dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup (75g) hazelnuts, toasted and chopped
- 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon (15g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed (about 10 oz / 285g)
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate chips, chopped hazelnuts, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth out creases. Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.
- Place a generous tablespoon of the filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold the corners over the filling to create a package, sealing well.
- Brush the tops of the pastry packages with the beaten egg.
- Place the packages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and enjoy warm.
