  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • Optional toppings: sliced jalapeños, black olives, fresh cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Combine flour, salt, and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Activate yeast in warm water until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  3. Mix yeast mixture with dry ingredients and olive oil.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let rise in a warm place, covered, for 30 minutes.
  6. Heat skillet over medium-high heat.
  7. Sauté onions until translucent.
  8. Add ground beef and taco seasoning; cook until browned (about 7-10 minutes).
  9. Mix in bell peppers; cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  10. Remove from heat and set aside.
  11. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  12. Roll out dough to fit the baking sheet or pizza stone.
  13. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
  14. Layer meat mixture, followed by shredded cheese.
  15. Add any optional toppings as desired.
  16. Place pizza in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  17. Check doneness by ensuring the crust is firm and light brown.
  18. Slice pizza and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
