Ingredients:
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (or ½ teaspoon ground ginger)
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Place the fillets in a baking dish and brush the tops generously with the honey glaze.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- For a caramelized top, switch to broil for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
- Drizzle with remaining glaze and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately.
