Ingredients:
- 5 lbs Ground Beef (80/20 recommended)
- 1/2 cup Yellow Onion, finely diced
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper, freshly ground
- 12 slices Sliced Cheese (Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or American)
- 1/2 cup Pre-cooked Bacon, crumbled
- 1 package Dinner Rolls/Slider Buns (12 rolls)
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
- 2 Tbsp Yellow Mustard (American style)
- 1 Tbsp Pickle Relish (drained)
- 1 tsp Poppy Seeds (optional)
- 1 tsp Dried Minced Onion Flakes
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, gently combine the ground beef, diced onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just incorporated; do not overmix.
- Separate the slider buns, placing the bottom halves into the prepared baking dish. Press the seasoned beef mixture evenly over the bottom buns to form one continuous, flat layer.
- Arrange the 12 cheese slices evenly over the beef layer, then sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the cheese. Place the top halves of the buns over the fillings.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, mustard, pickle relish, poppy seeds, and dried minced onion flakes until thoroughly combined to create the tangy butter topping.
- Generously brush the entire surface of the top buns with the tangy butter mixture.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted, the beef is cooked through (internal temperature 160°F/71°C), and the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let the sliders rest for 5 minutes, and then use a sharp knife to slice between the individual rolls before serving immediately.
