Ingredients:

  • 5 lbs Ground Beef (80/20 recommended)
  • 1/2 cup Yellow Onion, finely diced
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper, freshly ground
  • 12 slices Sliced Cheese (Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or American)
  • 1/2 cup Pre-cooked Bacon, crumbled
  • 1 package Dinner Rolls/Slider Buns (12 rolls)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp Yellow Mustard (American style)
  • 1 Tbsp Pickle Relish (drained)
  • 1 tsp Poppy Seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp Dried Minced Onion Flakes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, gently combine the ground beef, diced onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just incorporated; do not overmix.
  3. Separate the slider buns, placing the bottom halves into the prepared baking dish. Press the seasoned beef mixture evenly over the bottom buns to form one continuous, flat layer.
  4. Arrange the 12 cheese slices evenly over the beef layer, then sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the cheese. Place the top halves of the buns over the fillings.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, mustard, pickle relish, poppy seeds, and dried minced onion flakes until thoroughly combined to create the tangy butter topping.
  6. Generously brush the entire surface of the top buns with the tangy butter mixture.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted, the beef is cooked through (internal temperature 160°F/71°C), and the tops are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven, let the sliders rest for 5 minutes, and then use a sharp knife to slice between the individual rolls before serving immediately.
