Ingredients:
- 2 ¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
- ½ teaspoon (3g) salt
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- ¾ cup (165g) packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper if desired.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
- Let the dough chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes for improved texture.
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden but centers are still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
