Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups (480g) confectioners’ sugar, sifted
- 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) fine sea salt
Instructions:
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter. Beat on medium-high speed for 2–3 minutes until the mixture is pale, smooth, and completely free of lumps.
- Add the vanilla extract and salt. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds to evenly distribute flavors.
- Turn the mixer to low and gradually add the sifted confectioners’ sugar one cup at a time.
- Once the sugar is mostly incorporated, increase the speed to medium-high and beat for 1 minute until the frosting is fluffy and holds a stiff peak.
