Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados (approx. 500g)
  • ½ cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ⅓ cup (80ml) pure maple syrup or agave nectar
  • ¼ cup (60ml) almond or coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Fresh berries (strawberries or raspberries) for garnish
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into the blender.
  2. Spoon in the unsweetened cocoa powder over the avocado.
  3. Pour in the maple syrup (or agave) and almond milk.
  4. Add vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt.
  5. Blend on high until the mixture is creamy and no lumps remain. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  6. If too thick, gradually add more almond milk until desired texture is reached.
  7. Transfer mousse to individual serving bowls or a mixing bowl, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh berries and dark chocolate shavings before enjoying.
