Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados (approx. 500g)
- ½ cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- ⅓ cup (80ml) pure maple syrup or agave nectar
- ¼ cup (60ml) almond or coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- Fresh berries (strawberries or raspberries) for garnish
- Dark chocolate shavings (optional)
Instructions:
- Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into the blender.
- Spoon in the unsweetened cocoa powder over the avocado.
- Pour in the maple syrup (or agave) and almond milk.
- Add vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt.
- Blend on high until the mixture is creamy and no lumps remain. Scrape down the sides as needed.
- If too thick, gradually add more almond milk until desired texture is reached.
- Transfer mousse to individual serving bowls or a mixing bowl, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh berries and dark chocolate shavings before enjoying.
