Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados (approximately 400g)
- 1/4 cup (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup (60ml) pure maple syrup (or honey, if not vegan)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- Fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries) (optional)
- Whipped coconut cream or dairy cream (optional)
Instructions:
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into the blender.
- Add unsweetened cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the blender.
- Blend the mixture on high until fully combined and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness by adding more maple syrup if desired.
- Transfer the mousse to serving bowls or glasses. For a firmer texture, chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.
- Top with fresh berries and whipped cream, if using, before serving.
