Ingredients:
- 1 (14 ounce/397g) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) unsweetened cocoa powder (plus extra for dusting, optional)
- 1 tablespoon (14g) unsalted butter
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup (approx. 50g) chocolate sprinkles (jimmies)
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, butter, and salt.
- Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula. Mixture will thicken and pull away from the sides of the pan. It should take about 15-20 minutes.
- Drag your spoon across the bottom of the pan. If the mixture slowly comes back together, it's ready. It should be thick enough to mound slightly.
- Transfer the mixture to a lightly buttered plate or baking sheet. Spread evenly. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing directly onto the surface to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill completely.
- Roll the chilled mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Roll each ball in chocolate sprinkles until fully coated.
- Arrange on a serving plate and enjoy!
