Ingredients:

  • 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch thick rings (or wedges)
  • 1/4 cup (50g) packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Peel, core, and cut the pineapple into rings or wedges. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and salt. Mix well.
  3. Brush the pineapple slices with the brown sugar mixture, ensuring both sides are coated evenly.
  4. Place the pineapple slices on a preheated grill over medium heat.
  5. Grill for 3-5 minutes per side, or until the pineapple is heated through and the sugar is caramelized and slightly charred. Watch carefully to prevent burning!
