Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup (120ml) hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot Original), plus more to taste
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon (2g) garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1g) cayenne pepper, or more to taste (optional, for extra heat)
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.5g) Worcestershire sauce
- Pinch of salt, to taste
- Pinch of black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter completely. Be careful not to burn it.
- Whisk in the hot sauce and white vinegar until combined.
- Add the garlic powder, cayenne pepper (if using), Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Whisk well to ensure everything is evenly distributed.
- Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add more hot sauce for extra heat, a pinch of salt for balance, or a touch of honey or brown sugar if you prefer a sweeter flavor.
- Toss cooked wings in sauce until well coated.
