Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot Original), plus more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2g) garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1g) cayenne pepper, or more to taste (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.5g) Worcestershire sauce
  • Pinch of salt, to taste
  • Pinch of black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter completely. Be careful not to burn it.
  2. Whisk in the hot sauce and white vinegar until combined.
  3. Add the garlic powder, cayenne pepper (if using), Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Whisk well to ensure everything is evenly distributed.
  4. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing the flavors to meld.
  5. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add more hot sauce for extra heat, a pinch of salt for balance, or a touch of honey or brown sugar if you prefer a sweeter flavor.
  6. Toss cooked wings in sauce until well coated.
