Ingredients:
- 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and finely diced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon, divided
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 12 oz refrigerated biscuit dough
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 soft caramel candies, unwrapped
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat oven. Set it to 375°F and line your baking sheet.
- Toss the 2 diced Granny Smith apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, and 1 tsp of cinnamon until they are glossy and coated.
- Take each piece of the 12 oz biscuit dough and press it into a 4 inch circle. Keep the edges slightly thinner than the center.
- Place a small dollop of the 4 oz cream cheese in the center of each circle.
- Spoon a tablespoon of the apple mixture over the cream cheese.
- Press one soft caramel candy into the center of the apple pile.
- Pull the edges of the dough up and pinch them together firmly until no gaps remain.
- Gently roll the stuffed dough between your palms to smooth the seam.
- Brush with 3 tbsp melted butter and roll in the 1/4 cup granulated sugar and remaining cinnamon until fully encrusted.
- Place on the sheet and cook for 12 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
