Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (165g) packed brown sugar
- 2 large (100g) eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp (10ml) pure vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5g) baking soda
- 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups (250g) M&M candies
Instructions:
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium-high speed until the mixture is pale and fluffy (3 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed butter on low speed, mixing only until the white streaks disappear.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup of the M&M candies using a spatula.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Press 2-3 extra M&M candies into the top of each dough ball for a professional finish.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes, removing them when the edges are deep golden brown but the centers remain soft.
