Ingredients:

  • 6 medium firm-ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 4 tbsp (57g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp (2.6g) ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry the peaches thoroughly.
  2. Slice each peach in half along the seam, twist the halves apart, and remove the pit using a spoon or knife to create a small well in the center.
  3. Place peach halves cut-side up in a 9x13 inch ceramic or glass baking dish.
  4. Brush the melted butter generously over the cut surface and the sides of each peach half.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Spoon the sugar mixture into the center of each peach, pressing down slightly to ensure contact with the buttered surface.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20–25 minutes until peaches are tender and the sugar has melted into a bubbling, golden-brown syrup.
