Ingredients:

  • fl oz (approx. 180 ml) near boiling hot water
  • fl oz (45 ml) Bourbon Whiskey
  • fl oz (15 ml) freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
  • –2 teaspoons Honey (adjust to desired sweetness)
  • Cinnamon Stick (optional garnish)
  • Lemon Wheel or Twist (garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Heat water until near boiling using a kettle or saucepan.
  2. Place the honey into your serving mug. Pour approximately 1 ounce (30ml) of the hot water over the honey and stir vigorously until the honey is completely dissolved, forming a smooth slurry.
  3. Add the fresh lemon juice to the mug and stir briefly to combine with the honey mixture.
  4. Measure and pour in the specified amount of bourbon whiskey (1.5 fl oz).
  5. Fill the remainder of the mug with the remaining hot water, stirring gently to combine all ingredients. Leave about half an inch of space at the top.
  6. Garnish immediately with a cinnamon stick (for stirring/aroma) and a thin lemon wheel or twist. Serve piping hot.
