Ingredients:
- fl oz (approx. 180 ml) near boiling hot water
- fl oz (45 ml) Bourbon Whiskey
- fl oz (15 ml) freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
- –2 teaspoons Honey (adjust to desired sweetness)
- Cinnamon Stick (optional garnish)
- Lemon Wheel or Twist (garnish)
Instructions:
- Heat water until near boiling using a kettle or saucepan.
- Place the honey into your serving mug. Pour approximately 1 ounce (30ml) of the hot water over the honey and stir vigorously until the honey is completely dissolved, forming a smooth slurry.
- Add the fresh lemon juice to the mug and stir briefly to combine with the honey mixture.
- Measure and pour in the specified amount of bourbon whiskey (1.5 fl oz).
- Fill the remainder of the mug with the remaining hot water, stirring gently to combine all ingredients. Leave about half an inch of space at the top.
- Garnish immediately with a cinnamon stick (for stirring/aroma) and a thin lemon wheel or twist. Serve piping hot.
