Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef (80% lean for best flavor)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup (120g) mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) sweet pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) ketchup
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) apple cider vinegar
- Salt to taste
- 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch / 25cm)
- 4 slices American cheese (or cheddar, if preferred)
- 1 cup (100g) shredded lettuce
- ½ cup (75g) diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup (15g) diced pickles (optional)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, pickle relish, ketchup, mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until well mixed; add salt to taste. Set aside.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Lay out a flour tortilla on a clean surface. Spread 2 tablespoons of the special sauce on the tortilla. Evenly distribute cooked beef over the tortilla. Top with a slice of cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and pickles (if using).
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll tightly from the bottom up to secure the filling. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
- Optional: Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and toast wraps for 1-2 minutes on each side for added crispness. Slice in half and serve immediately.
