Ingredients:

  • 1 shot espresso (about 1 oz / 30 ml)
  • 6 oz (180 ml) half-and-half
  • Optional: Sweetener of choice (1 tsp sugar, honey, or flavored syrup)
  • Optional: Ground cinnamon or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Espresso: Grind fresh coffee beans, tamp the grounds evenly into the portafilter, and brew 1 shot (1 oz/30 ml) of espresso directly into your coffee cup.
  2. Steam the Half-and-Half: Pour 6 oz (180 ml) of cold half-and-half into a frothing pitcher, purge the steam wand, and steam to create a creamy microfoam while heating the liquid to 140–150°F (60–65°C).
  3. Combine and Sweeten: Slowly pour the steamed half-and-half over the brewed espresso, stir gently to integrate, and add sweetener if desired.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Optionally sprinkle cinnamon or cocoa powder on top, then serve immediately while hot.
