Ingredients:
- 1 cup full-fat sour cream
- 1/4 cup high-quality mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp heavy cream
- 1/2 cup prepared horseradish, extra hot and well-drained
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp fresh chives, finely minced
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
Instructions:
- Place the prepared horseradish into a fine-mesh strainer and press firmly with a spoon to remove excess brine to prevent the sauce from becoming watery.
- In a medium stainless steel mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard until the texture is completely smooth.
- Fold in the drained horseradish, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and fresh chives. Whisk gently until the aromatics are evenly distributed.
- Transfer the sauce to an airtight glass jar and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to marry and the texture to set.
