Ingredients:

  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 1/4 cup high-quality mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup prepared horseradish, extra hot and well-drained
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, finely minced
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp coarsely ground black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Place the prepared horseradish into a fine-mesh strainer and press firmly with a spoon to remove excess brine to prevent the sauce from becoming watery.
  2. In a medium stainless steel mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard until the texture is completely smooth.
  3. Fold in the drained horseradish, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and fresh chives. Whisk gently until the aromatics are evenly distributed.
  4. Transfer the sauce to an airtight glass jar and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to marry and the texture to set.
