Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh broccoli florets (must be completely dry)
- 2 Tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
- Wash the broccoli florets thoroughly. It is crucial they are completely dry before proceeding. Use a salad spinner or pat them dry with paper towels to remove all surface moisture.
- In a large bowl, toss the 1 lb of dry broccoli florets with 2 Tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp kosher salt, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Ensure the oil evenly and lightly coats every floret.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Place the coated broccoli into the air fryer basket in a single, non-overcrowded layer. (If necessary, cook in two batches to ensure maximum crispness).
- Cook the broccoli at 400°F for 10 minutes. At the 5-minute mark, pause the air fryer and shake the basket vigorously to redistribute the florets.
- The broccoli is finished when the edges are deep brown and slightly charred, and the stems are tender-crisp. Serve immediately.
