Ingredients:

  • 1 (13x9 inch) prepared chocolate cake, cooled (approx. 900g)
  • 1/2 cup (113g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
  • 12 oz (340g) white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) vegetable oil
  • Sprinkles, chopped nuts, or other decorations (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, crumble the cooled chocolate cake with your hands until it resembles fine crumbs.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese and heavy cream to the crumbled cake.
  3. Use an electric mixer to combine all ingredients until well blended and a smooth dough forms. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the mixture to firm up.
  4. Roll the chilled cake mixture into 1-inch balls. Place them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  5. Melt the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, stirring frequently, until smooth. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.
  6. Dip each cake ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Use a fork or dipping tools to remove the cake ball and allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  7. Place the dipped cake balls back on the parchment-lined cookie sheet. Immediately sprinkle with sprinkles, chopped nuts, or your desired decorations.
  8. Refrigerate the cake balls for at least 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set completely. Serve chilled and enjoy!
