Ingredients:
- 1 (13x9 inch) prepared chocolate cake, cooled (approx. 900g)
- 1/2 cup (113g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
- 12 oz (340g) white chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) vegetable oil
- Sprinkles, chopped nuts, or other decorations (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, crumble the cooled chocolate cake with your hands until it resembles fine crumbs.
- Add the softened cream cheese and heavy cream to the crumbled cake.
- Use an electric mixer to combine all ingredients until well blended and a smooth dough forms. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the mixture to firm up.
- Roll the chilled cake mixture into 1-inch balls. Place them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
- Melt the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, stirring frequently, until smooth. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.
- Dip each cake ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Use a fork or dipping tools to remove the cake ball and allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Place the dipped cake balls back on the parchment-lined cookie sheet. Immediately sprinkle with sprinkles, chopped nuts, or your desired decorations.
- Refrigerate the cake balls for at least 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set completely. Serve chilled and enjoy!
