Ingredients:
- 2 cups (470 ml) of soy wax flakes
- 1 oz (30 ml) of fragrant essential oil (e.g., vanilla, cake batter, strawberry)
- 6 candle wicks with metal bases (pre-waxed)
- Candle dye chips or liquid dye (as needed for desired shades)
Instructions:
- Cover the work surface with butcher paper and gather all ingredients and equipment.
- Fill the double boiler with water; heat to a simmer. Place soy wax flakes in the top pot and stir until fully melted.
- Once wax is melted, add dye chips to achieve desired color, stirring until fully incorporated. Remove from heat and mix in essential oil.
- Position candle wicks in the desired center of the molds using wick holders or chopsticks.
- Carefully pour the melted wax into the molds around the wick; fill to desired level.
- Allow the candles to cool at room temperature for at least 1 hour (or until solidified).
- Gently remove candles from molds and trim wicks to ¼ inch above the wax.
