Ingredients:

  • 1 can (29 oz / 823g) sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • 1 box (15.25 oz / 432g) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the entire can of peaches, including the heavy syrup, into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Use a spatula to spread the slices evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the peaches, leveling the powder with the back of a spoon without stirring it into the fruit.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter across the entire surface of the cake mix, ensuring edges and corners are covered to promote even browning.
  5. Bake on the center rack for 40–45 minutes until the edges are bubbling vigorously and the top has turned a deep mahogany gold.
