Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
- 2 cups (480ml) milk
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) salt
- 2 cups (220g) pecan halves or pieces
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons (10ml) baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) salt
- 1 cup (240ml) milk
- 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt for the pecan filling.
- Stir in the pecan halves or pieces.
- Pour the pecan filling mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt for the cobbler topping.
- Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently pour the batter over the pecan filling in the baking dish. Do not stir.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving the Easy Pecan Cobbler.
