Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss to combine and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add melted butter and milk, stirring until just combined.
  4. Pour the peach mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Spoon the batter evenly over the peaches.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until topping is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Remove from oven, cool slightly, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
