Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 large firm-ripe bananas
- 1 tbsp honey
Instructions:
- Slice the bananas into uniform 1/2 inch rounds. Note: Consistency ensures they all cook at the same rate
- In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until no lumps remain.
- Melt the butter over medium high heat until it begins to foam and sizzle.
- Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the skillet.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the top of the bananas.
- Sear for 2-3 minutes without moving them until the bottoms are mahogany colored and fragrant.
- Flip the slices carefully using a spatula.
- Drizzle the honey over the caramelized side.
- Cook for another 2 minutes until glossy and edges are slightly charred.
