Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp (57g) unsalted butter
- 10 oz (283g) mini marshmallows
- 2 tsp (10ml) green gel food coloring
- 6 cups (500g) crisped rice cereal
- 4 oz (113g) red candy melts
- 1 tbsp (15g) red heart-shaped sprinkles
Instructions:
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan thoroughly with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- Place a saucepan over low heat and melt the butter completely. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until smooth and glossy.
- Stir the green gel coloring into the melted marshmallow mixture until the color is vibrant and consistent, then remove from heat immediately.
- Gently fold in the crisped rice cereal using a buttered spatula until every piece is coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press down lightly—do not pack tightly.
- Melt the red candy melts in the microwave in 15-second intervals until smooth.
- Transfer the melted candy to a piping bag and pipe a small, asymmetrical heart onto the center of each square.
- Top each heart with a few red sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
