Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) bourbon whiskey
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon (15 g) Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 g) black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring frequently to dissolve the sugar.
  3. Allow the glaze to simmer gently for about 10 minutes, or until it has reduced by half and coats the back of a spoon.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes. Transfer to a heat-safe container and allow to cool completely before storing in the fridge.
