Ingredients:
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- ½ cup (120ml) water
- ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Combine flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
- Add vegetable oil and gradually mix in water until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough gently on a floured surface for about 1 minute until smooth.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the chilled dough to about ¼ inch thickness.
- Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough into 1-inch strips.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the strips in small batches for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until golden and crispy.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- While still warm, toss the fried twists in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well-coated.
