Ingredients:
- 4 medium firm pears (Bosc or Anjou), halved and cored
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 4 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Carefully slice the pears in half lengthwise. Use a melon baller or pairing knife to remove the center seeds, creating a small well. Arrange them cut-side up in a 9x13 inch baking dish and dust the tops evenly with cinnamon and nutmeg.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, vanilla extract, and salt until the mixture is smooth and emulsified.
- Spoon the honey mixture generously into the center of each pear, allowing some to drizzle down the sides. Scatter the chopped walnuts over the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the pears are tender when pierced with a fork and the honey is bubbling and a deep golden brown.
