Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon rennet or 1 tablespoon lemon juice for vegetarian option
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (150 g) mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
  • 1/4 cup (30 g) chopped toasted nuts (almonds or hazelnuts)
  • Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Stir in rennet (or lemon juice) into the milk mixture and mix gently.
  3. Pour the mixture into serving cups and cover with plastic wrap.
  4. Place the cups in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until set.
  5. While the junket sets, wash and prepare the berries and chop the nuts.
  6. Once set, remove the cups from the fridge, top with berries and nuts, and garnish with mint if desired.
