Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces (60ml) Bourbon
  • ½ ounce (15ml) Simple Syrup
  • 6-8 Fresh Mint Leaves
  • Crushed Ice
  • Mint Sprig for Garnish

Instructions:

  1. (Optional) Prepare Simple Syrup: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan, stir until sugar dissolves, cool, and chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Muddle Mint: Place mint leaves and simple syrup in the julep cup. Gently muddle the mint to release its oils.
  3. Add Bourbon: Pour in the bourbon.
  4. Pack with Ice: Fill the julep cup with crushed ice, packing it tightly.
  5. Stir and Chill: Stir gently until the cup is frosted. Add more crushed ice to form a dome.
  6. Garnish: Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
  7. Enjoy Immediately: Sip slowly.
