Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60ml) Bourbon
- ½ ounce (15ml) Simple Syrup
- 6-8 Fresh Mint Leaves
- Crushed Ice
- Mint Sprig for Garnish
Instructions:
- (Optional) Prepare Simple Syrup: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan, stir until sugar dissolves, cool, and chill for 30 minutes.
- Muddle Mint: Place mint leaves and simple syrup in the julep cup. Gently muddle the mint to release its oils.
- Add Bourbon: Pour in the bourbon.
- Pack with Ice: Fill the julep cup with crushed ice, packing it tightly.
- Stir and Chill: Stir gently until the cup is frosted. Add more crushed ice to form a dome.
- Garnish: Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
- Enjoy Immediately: Sip slowly.
