- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh

- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Shred the cabbage, grate the carrots, and mince the onion. Combine them in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth. Ensure the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Pour the dressing over the shredded vegetables. Toss gently but thoroughly to coat everything evenly.
- Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld. Stir well before serving.
