Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados (about 300g, pitted and scooped)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup (or agave syrup for a vegan option)
- 1/4 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- Optional: 1-2 tablespoons of sweetener (like stevia or erythritol) if you prefer it sweeter
- Optional toppings: fresh berries, shredded coconut, or crushed nuts
Instructions:
- Scoop out the flesh of the ripe avocados and place them in a food processor or a high-speed blender.
- To the avocado, add the unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Pour in the maple syrup and almond milk. Add the vanilla extract and sea salt. If using an additional sweetener, add it now.
- Cover and blend all the ingredients together until completely smooth and creamy.
- Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness if needed. If its too thick, add a little more milk until desired consistency.
- Once blended, transfer the mousse into individual serving bowls or a single large bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
- Serve chilled and garnish with fresh berries, shredded coconut, or crushed nuts as desired.
