Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) baking powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together for about 5-7 minutes until thick and pale.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture using a rubber spatula.
- Gently fold in the vegetable oil and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared silicone cake pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
