Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup Unsweetened Almond Milk, chilled
  • 1 packed cup Fresh Baby Spinach, washed well
  • 1 cup Frozen Mango Chunks
  • 1 medium Frozen Banana, peeled, sliced, and frozen
  • 2 tablespoons Shelled Hemp Seeds (Hemp Hearts)
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Lime Juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon Maple Syrup (or honey, optional)
  • 3–4 cubes Ice Cubes (optional, use if fruit isn't fully frozen)

Instructions:

  1. Load the Liquids and Soft Ingredients: Pour the almond milk (or other chosen liquid) into the blender jug first. Add the packed baby spinach and the lime juice.
  2. Initial Blend (The Green Base): Secure the lid and blend on medium speed for 15–20 seconds, or until the spinach has completely broken down into a bright green liquid. This ensures no leafy remnants remain.
  3. Add Frozen Fruit and Seeds: Stop the blender and add the frozen mango chunks, the frozen banana slices, and the shelled hemp seeds. Add the maple syrup, if using, and any optional ice cubes.
  4. The Main Blend: Secure the lid tightly. Start blending on a low speed to initiate mixing, then quickly ramp up to high speed (or the 'smoothie' setting) for 45–60 seconds. Blend until the mixture flows smoothly and uniformly, without loud chopping sounds.
  5. Check and Adjust: If the mixture is too thick or the blender is struggling, stop, scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula, and add 1–2 tablespoons of extra almond milk until the desired consistency is reached.
  6. Serve: Pour immediately into a chilled glass or flask. Give it a taste to check the sweetness—it should be balanced and tropical.
