Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats (not instant)
  • 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • Pinch Fine Sea Salt
  • 1 cup Milk (Dairy or Non-Dairy)
  • 1/4 cup Greek Yogurt (Plain, full-fat recommended)
  • 1 – 2 Tbsp Pure Maple Syrup

Instructions:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, measure and combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, ground cinnamon, and sea salt. Use a whisk or spoon to thoroughly mix the dry ingredients, ensuring the cinnamon is evenly distributed.
  2. Pour the milk, Greek yogurt, and maple syrup into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Whisk vigorously for about 30 seconds. Ensure the chia seeds and oats are fully submerged and that no dry clumps remain at the bottom of the bowl.
  3. Divide the oat mixture evenly between two airtight jars or containers. Seal the jars tightly with the lids. Place the sealed jars in the refrigerator for a minimum of 8 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the oats to fully hydrate and the chia seeds to gelatinize.
  4. The next morning, the oats should be thick, creamy, and chilled. If the consistency is too thick, stir in 1-2 teaspoons of extra milk. Add your desired toppings (such as diced apple, nut butter, or nuts) directly into the jar and serve immediately.
