Ingredients:
- ½ cup (120 ml) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Thyme, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- ¼ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
- ¼ teaspoon Sea Salt, or to taste
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste
- 1 loaf Crusty Bread (such as a baguette, ciabatta, or sourdough), about 1 pound (450g)
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over low heat. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. (If skipping the heating step, combine the oil and other ingredients in a small bowl.)
- Stir in the sea salt and black pepper to the infused oil (or the unheated mixture). Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Slice the bread into 1-inch thick pieces.
- Pour the infused olive oil into a small bowl or plate. Arrange the bread slices around the oil. Serve immediately and enjoy the olive oil and bread!
