Ingredients:

  • 1-2 fresh jalapeños, seeded and minced (to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (about 15g)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (about 30ml)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Dice the tomatoes, chop the onion and bell pepper, and mince the jalapeños.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine diced tomatoes, chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced jalapeños.
  3. Add chopped cilantro, lime juice, garlic powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper to the mixture.
  4. Mix all ingredients gently until just combined.
  5. Taste the salsa and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt, lime juice, or spice as preferred.
  6. For the best flavor, let the salsa sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before serving or refrigerate for up to an hour.
