Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (454g) raw pecan halves or pieces
  • 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) neutral oil (like vegetable, canola, or grapeseed) optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3g) sea salt or kosher salt, or to taste optional

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the pecans with the optional oil and salt, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding.
  4. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the pecans are fragrant and lightly golden brown. Stir halfway through. Watch carefully.
  5. Remove from oven and let the pecans cool completely on the baking sheet. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
  6. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
