Ingredients:
- 1 pound (454g) raw pecan halves or pieces
- 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) neutral oil (like vegetable, canola, or grapeseed) optional
- 1/2 teaspoon (3g) sea salt or kosher salt, or to taste optional
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the pecans with the optional oil and salt, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Spread the pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding.
- Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the pecans are fragrant and lightly golden brown. Stir halfway through. Watch carefully.
- Remove from oven and let the pecans cool completely on the baking sheet. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
- Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
