Ingredients:
- 2 oz (60 ml) Vodka (or Gin)
- 1 oz (30 ml) Pistachio Liqueur
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) Simple Syrup
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) Heavy Cream (Optional)
- 2 dashes Orange Bitters
- Ice Cubes
- 2 tbsp (30ml) Finely Ground Pistachios
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) Simple Syrup
Instructions:
- Place the martini glass in the freezer for at least 15 minutes to chill.
- On a small plate, spread finely ground pistachios evenly. In another small plate, add simple syrup. Invert the chilled martini glass and dip the rim into the simple syrup. Immediately dip the rim into the ground pistachios, coating evenly. Set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka (or gin), pistachio liqueur, simple syrup, heavy cream (if using), and orange bitters.
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
- Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared martini glass.
- Garnish with a few whole pistachios on a cocktail stick or a twist of orange peel.
