Ingredients:

  • 3 cups premium vanilla ice cream (packed)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (or preferred milk)
  • 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 10 large Negresco cookies (or similar chocolate sandwich cookies), roughly chopped
  • Whipped cream (for garnish, as desired)
  • 2 reserved Negresco cookies, crushed (for garnish)
  • Chocolate syrup (for garnish, as desired)

Instructions:

  1. Roughly chop 10 of the Negresco cookies. Set aside the remaining 2 cookies for garnish.
  2. Place serving glasses in the freezer to chill while preparing the shake.
  3. Add the milk, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract to the blender pitcher first.
  4. Scoop in the vanilla ice cream and half of the chopped Negresco cookies.
  5. Blend on a low to medium setting, gradually increasing speed, until just combined and smooth. Avoid over-blending to maintain thickness.
  6. Pulse in the remaining chopped cookies just 2 or 3 times to ensure distinct cookie texture remains.
  7. Immediately pour the mixture into the chilled glasses.
  8. Garnish generously with whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, and a sprinkle of the reserved crushed cookies. Serve immediately.
