Ingredients:
- 200g (7 oz) instant ramen noodles
- 4 cups (1 liter) chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (5 ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (5 g)
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger (2 g)
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional; 2 g)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 soft-boiled egg
- Nori (seaweed) sheets
Instructions:
- Bring 4 cups of the broth to a boil in a pot.
- Add the ramen noodles, cooking according to package directions until tender (usually 3-4 minutes).
- In a mixing bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, chili flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Once the noodles are cooked, drain if necessary and return to pot.
- Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil, then add the seasoning mix gradually, stirring well to combine.
- Ladle the ramen into bowls and garnish with sliced green onions, soft-boiled egg, and nori, if desired.
