Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) finely chopped dill pickles or sweet gherkins
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon (2 g) capers, rinsed and finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Finely chop the dill pickles (or gherkins) and capers (if using).
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise.
  3. Stir in the chopped pickles, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard.
  4. Add the capers, if using, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Whisk the mixture until thoroughly combined and smooth.
  6. Adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more lemon juice or salt for extra zing.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish or airtight container. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
