Ingredients:
- 2 cans (15 oz / 425g each) sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
- 1 tbsp (12g) ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (60g) granulated sugar
- 2 tsp (10g) baking powder

Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour the undrained canned peaches and their syrup directly into a 9x9 inch baking dish.
- Stir in the cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt. Ensure the peaches are evenly coated in the spice mixture and spread into a flat, even layer.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and baking powder until no clumps remain.
- Pour in the melted butter and whole milk, stirring with a spatula until just combined.
- Spoon the batter over the peaches, spreading it to the edges with a spatula.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until the topping is mahogany-colored gold and the peach syrup is bubbling around the edges.
