Ingredients:
- 1 (3 ounce/85g) package Jello gelatin (various flavors/colors - e.g., strawberry, lime, blue raspberry)
- 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
- ½ cup (120 ml) cold water
Instructions:
- In a saucepan, bring water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat.
- Add one package of Jello to the boiling water. Whisk until completely dissolved (about 2 minutes). Ensure no crystals remain.
- Stir in the cold water. Pour the mixture into a heatproof bowl or pitcher.
- Carefully pour the Jello mixture into the popsicle molds, filling each mold about 1/3 full (adjust based on how many layers you plan).
- Place the molds in the freezer for approximately 1-2 hours, or until the layer is partially set but not completely frozen solid (it should still be a bit jiggly).
- Repeat steps 1-5 with different Jello flavors/colors for each subsequent layer. Remember to let each layer partially set before adding the next.
- Once the final layer is poured and partially set, gently insert popsicle sticks into the center of each mold.
- Return the molds to the freezer and freeze completely for at least 4-6 hours, or preferably overnight.
- To unmold jello popsicles, briefly run the molds under warm water for a few seconds. Gently pull on the popsicle stick to release the popsicle.
